Yaganti Temple

Sri Yaganti Uma Maheswara Temple is one of the most famous Shiva Temple in Andhra Pradesh state. The temple dates lower back to fifth and sixth centuries with contributions from Pallavas, Cholas, Chalukyas and Vijayanagara rulers.

The temple obtained full-size contribution from Bukka Rayalu & Vijayanagara Kings Harihara, who completed the building of countless constructions in and round the temple.

Sri Yaganti Uma Maheswara Temple is one of the few temples patronized by way of one of the splendid dynasties of India. Every 12 months Maha Shivaratri is celebrated and a giant range of devotees from all over Andhra Pradesh visit. Shiva, Parvati and Nandi are the major deities in this temple.This temple is 14 km away from Banaganipalli in kurnool dt. The saint lord Veerabrahmendra swami stayed right here for some time and wrote Kalagnanam. Yaganti is positioned in Yerramala hills that provide giant herbal splendor and special placing to the locality.
