Thiruvaloor Mahadeva temple

Thiruvaloor Mahadeva Temple is an ancient temple situated in Thiruvaloor of Alangad Village, in Ernakulam district. Lord Siva facing East without his consort Parvathi is in Rowdra Bhava. This temple is listed among the famous siva temples in Kerala, India. The idol here is believed to be an Agni Pratishta, i.e., with Lord Siva’s third eye open. The other idol in the temple is Load Ganapati. Also as a subsidiary of Thiruvaloor Mahadeva Temple, Keezhanikavu is situated very next to the temple, having Vishnu, Bhagavati and Nagas as idols. Also there is a Rudraksha Tree with full of Rudrakshas. A very very rare sight.
